BASE III

Basestation's expertise in the online environment has been built on our ability to get right to the heart of our clients' business needs. Over the years, we have evolved a comprehensive three-stage process that ensures our clients get the very best service - and the very best results.

Base 1 - Project definition

This, the most important part of the process, establishes where your web communication sits within your overall communication strategy. At this point we review the opportunities for secure areas, we analyse what role there is for aftersales support content and we decide how this functionality will translate into the priorities that shape your site map.

We discuss how frequent your site updates should be, define the responsibilities for content refresh and how our Content Management System (CMS) can be used to give your team communication freedom within controlled parameters.

How will the role-out of the site be measured?

This is a question that few design agencies ask. Basestation does. We establish objectives for the site that may be about tracking, traffic, revenue generation or sign up to a customer communication programme. We incorporate your objectives into the design brief, navigation and the content strategy and information flow of the site. Additionally, we help define agreed measures of site performance and will train your team on how to monitor these on a monthly basis, so that the effect of promotions or tactical advertising can be identified in your tracking statistics.

Base 2 - Design and Content Architecture

When we talk about website design we don't simply mean the look of the home page. We define design as two things:

  1. The creative style that flows across every page of the site, from 'home' to 'privacy policy' even to the 'shopping basket'.
  2. The hierarchy of information that ensures the customer experience is both considered and intuitive.

Base 3 - Site construction and training

The build of the site is executed in stages, with interim presentations to ensure that what we build is intune with your expectations. We also build all of our sites using CSS to ensure we comply with W3C guidelines helping accessible browsing for disabled users. And although we offer extensive training, we design our BaseIQ single CMS system to be intuitive, so that most users are competent within one hour.
